The primary mission of Green Adventure Travel Agency is to provide a personalized approach to each guest, with a constant commitment to responsible conduct, environmental preservation, and sustainable use of natural resources. Our commitment to sustainable practices and minimizing the negative impacts of tourism on the environment is based on the following principles of our Sustainable Policy.
SUSTAINABILITY POLICY OF GREEN ADVENTURE TRAVEL AGENCY
INTRODUCTION
Green Adventure Travel Agency, established in 2020 in Novo Mesto, Slovenia is not an ordinary travel agency but rather a brand born from a passion for nature and authentic experiences in pristine environments. We develop innovative products with a focus on green Slovenia (untouched nature, Slovenian rivers, outdoor experiences in harmony with nature). By creating our own products, we promote sustainable tourism (small groups of guests, showcasing local specialties, exploring hidden gems, zero-waste implementation, etc.). We provide boutique and unique experiences for our guests, emphasizing local and authentic encounters. We proudly feature the Green & Safe and Safe Travels labels from the Slovenian Tourist Board.
The foundational documents that guide our operations and relationships with partners and guests are the Ethical Code, the Sustainability Commitment, and the Scheme of quality.
GREEN ADVENTURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Slovenia’s pristine, clear rivers, full of trout, huchen, and grayling, and vast forests, home to wild animals and numerous bird species, form the basis of Green Adventure’s operations. Sustainable development and environmental conservation have been a vital part of our product creation and execution from the very beginning.
We do not offer experiences involving wild animals in captivity. We are dedicated to protecting wildlife from tourism-related disruptions.
We support environmental organizations that work to restore habitats for endangered species and to protect forests. Special attention is given to preserving species as per the Slovenian Endangered Species Red List regulations.
Our guides are encouraged to share knowledge with guests about the flora and fauna, natural values, and cultural heritage of the areas they visit. We urge guests to learn about biodiversity, respect the areas they visit, and share their insights with friends and acquaintances.
Our programs are conducted in small groups, following the guidelines of our ethical code. We avoid single-use plastic items, offer locally and organically produced food, and follow many other sustainable practices.
GREEN ADVENTURE AND PARTNERS
We foster a special relationship with our partners, including suppliers, providers, guides, and service providers.
Before starting any collaboration, we enter into a cooperation agreement outlining each party’s duties and responsibilities. We also introduce our partners to our agency’s core documents.
We encourage collaboration with suppliers who share similar values and sustainability principles and demonstrate sustainable practices in their operations, either through existing or in-progress certifications in sustainable tourism.
Local service providers are a key factor in our collaborations.
Green Adventure does not contract with accommodation providers who engage in child labour or employ children for work typically performed by adults.
We offer equal opportunities to all employees (who meet job requirements), regardless of nationality, gender, religion, or other orientations.
This approach builds trust, aiming for long-term partnerships.

GREEN ADVENTURE AND OFFICE OPERATIONS, CHOICE OF OFFICE EQUIPMENT
We are part of the initiative under the Slovenian Tourist Board’s “Commitment to Eliminate Single-Use Plastics from Slovenian Tourism.” In our work, we also commit to reducing waste, energy, water, and paper consumption, and cutting promotional material printing by at least 50%.
During our time in the office, while developing new ideas and engaging with our partners and guests, we are guided by the principles of “reduce, reuse, recycle.”
- ENERGY: Reduce consumption, use energy-saving bulbs and devices, turn off lights, and put appliances on standby when not in use.
- WATER: Use water-saving taps, close taps promptly, and address any leaks immediately.
- PAPER: Use recycled paper and print double-sided.
- TRANSPORTATION: Use e-bikes in experiences, and encourage guests to rent eco-friendly vehicles.
- WASTE: Reduce waste volume, regularly separate waste, and avoid single-use plastic packaging.
- EQUIPMENT: Purchase and use energy-efficient devices.
Through these activities, we strive to educate ourselves, find solutions, and above all, implement the acquired knowledge into practice, influencing partners, suppliers, providers, and guests.
GREEN ADVENTURE AND A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
Sustainability is never a finished process; it requires constant awareness that through continuous education, by setting an example, and by passing on this mindset to younger generations, we can contribute to future environmental conservation. It’s never too late to start learning, behaving, and acting sustainably.
We are aware that if we overexploit natural resources, seek only higher profits recklessly and irresponsibly, and pollute the environment, tourism will eventually disappear, as there will be no natural beauty left to offer. Tourism is indeed an economic sector that can significantly impact the economy of a destination or area, but only if we acknowledge responsible actions that sustainably contribute to the well-being of the local population.
