We had a fantastic kayaking experience! Everything was very well organized from start to finish. Our guide, Matjaž, was excellent and shared lots of interesting facts about the area along the way. We had a private tour, which made the experience even more special. The river was incredibly peaceful—we barely saw anyone else—and the crystal-clear, cold water was perfect on a hot summer day. We booked a 10 day fly fishing & sight seeing excursion with Green Adventure. What separated Green Adventure from other tours (I have traveled extensively internationally): 1) Remote fishing locations as requested. The fishing was excellent. 2) Green Adventures customer service check-in’s during the trip was frequent and excellent. In addition, there were no delays in responses to questions. 3) the trip occurred as advertised. There were no surprises in the itinerary 4) Wide variety of itinerary choices: Green Adventures customer service planned the trip according to our needs (accommodations ranging from simple to 5 star stays at Castles). Great experiences and well organized!Matjaž of Green Adventures organized 3 wildly different and interesting activities for us in December 2025 in the greater Novo Mestro area, Slovenia, based upon our families interests: sportive, culinary nature lovers. All three activities were highly personal, fun and interesting. Matjaž had also selected good accomodations for us and is easy to communicate with. I highly recommand Green Adventures. What we did: 1) Vineyard eBiking tour. The local bike guide quickly gazed our experience level (Dutch daily flat-land bikers) and selected nice routes through the snow covered landscape around Grad Otocec. We finished at a small farm with a rich lunch of home-made traditional food and wine and great conversations. 2). Ethno Experience. In an authentic setting, a couple demonstrated the traditional ways of life and clothmaking in the white-country. We then transfered to the warmth of their home area where we prepared our own tasty flat-bread, learned a beautifull way to decorate eggs and talked a lot about agriculture and nature over a nicely prepared warm lunch. 3). Into the Wild. Here we were transferred again to a different area and met a knowledgeable, well-traveled, now local, nature-guide and photographer. Soon we were walking in the hilly forrest searching for and finding!!! footsteps of bear and wolf in the snow.
