Last week, Green Adventure Travel Agency proudly participated in AdventureELEVATE Europe 2026, one of the leading international events in the global adventure travel industry, organized by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA). The event took place in the spectacular Val d’Aran region in the Spanish Pyrenees and gathered tour operators, destinations, travel designers, media representatives, outdoor specialists, and tourism professionals from Europe, the United States, Canada, and South America.

During numerous scheduled meetings and networking sessions with international tour operators and travel professionals, we presented Slovenia as a country that offers extraordinary diversity within a compact and easily accessible destination. Green Adventure is proud to partner in the nationwide Reforest For Tomorrow 2025 Campaign organized by Slovenian State Forests (SiDG). This year, we’re shining the spotlight on the Otočec site in the Dolenjska region.

When?
Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:00 to 12:00 LOCATION

What’s Happening?
At Otočec, volunteers will plant tree seedlings as part of a nationwide initiative to restore and protect our forests. With over 5,600 seedlings being planted across five locations, the Otočec action is our chance to make a local, lasting impact.

  • Basic tools for planting (a shovel, hoe, or mattock), protective gloves, and suitable footwear.

Green Adventure at New Deal Europe 2025

The New Deal Europe Marketplace & Forum 2025 took place on March 25th at the Congress Centre in London, where over 80 tourism providers held more than 1,500 pre-scheduled B2B meetings aimed at boosting tourism in 12 Southeast European countries. Slovenia was represented by the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO) with #IfeelSlovenia and 16 tourism companies, including Green Adventure Travel Agency.

As creators of unique, sustainable experiences, we proudly represented our home region Dolenjska, presenting travel products rooted in nature, authenticity, and local impact.

We are thrilled to share the news from the expert commission of the Slovenian Tourist Board that the FISH & FLY TRIO experience will continue to be part of the Slovenia Unique Experiences collection.

Below, we share the commission’s reasoning:

“The commission still evaluates the experience as an exceptional niche offering with a well-rounded scenario, a clear target audience, promotional channels, and undoubtedly a valuable addition to the existing fishing programs.
The three-day experience aligns with the principles of boutique and highly profitable fishing tourism segments. It continues to meet the criteria of authenticity, uniqueness, and innovation. The experience allows for an exclusive connection with nature and exceptional locations on three Slovenian rivers, featuring three different fish species, highlighting Slovenia’s biodiversity. Gastronomy is still innovatively intertwined with the local environment and suppliers. The Fish & Fly Trio product remains an attractive and competitive offering, successfully appealing to a very niche group of visitors exploring Slovenia.

In April and May, Green Adventure participated in two important tourism B2B events: the New Deal Europe event in London, UK, and the Slovenia Incoming Workshop in Bled, Slovenia.

At both events, we had many opportunities to showcase our work and offerings to participants from all over the world. We proudly presented the natural beauties of the Dolenjska region and Slovenia, as well as our partners and our principles of sustainable operation in tourism.

It was an invaluable opportunity to discuss trends, share insights, and explore collaborations that align with our sustainable tourism goals.

What is The Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism?

The Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism (GSST) is a tool developed at the national level and a certification programme that carries out the following tasks under the SLOVENIA GREEN umbrella brand:

  • brings together all efforts directed towards the sustainable development of tourism in Slovenia,
  • offers tools to destinations and service providers that enable them to evaluate and improve their sustainability endeavours
  • and promotes these green endeavours through the Slovenia Green brand.

 

The Green Adventure agency is the owner of many awards in Slovenia – the Snovalec 2020 (for the best tourist idea), Sejalec 2021 (for the best tourist product), and international awards as well – Big See Tourism Design Award Winner 2022 and Travelife Partner (for which it is mandatory to have more than 100 sustainability criteria). Our multiple award-winning product Fish & Fly Trio is included in the prestigious quality collection under the Slovenia Unique Experiences brand.
